Plant & Vegetable Permits

Specific permits are necessary to import specific plants, plant products, and organisms into the U.S. and across state borders.

All articles intended for planting or propagation must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate of inspection, issued by the national plant protection service of the exporting country.

Fruits and Vegetables Import Requirements (FAVIR)

TechLink International provides complete guidance with the FAVIR database to determine which authorized fruits and vegetables, by commodity or country, are allowed to be imported into the United States, and the legal requirements for such importation.  This consultation will include emergency pest notifications, and to alert users if there is a change in the import status of a commodity or country.

Plant Health Permits

Plant Protection and Quarantine requires permits for importation into and transit though the United States of plants and plant products, and the importation into, transit through, and interstate movement within the United States of plant pests (plant-feeding insects, mites, snails, slugs, and plant pathogens), biological control organisms of plant pests and weeds, parasitic plants and federally listed noxious weeds, under regulatory authorities.

TechLink International consultants can assist you in successfully obtaining USDA permits. We have successfully completed hundreds of different types of permit submissions.
